MEDIA INSPIRATION: DR. DENIS MUKWEGE NOBEL PEACE PRIZE WINNER 2018

NND GVA DRESS CODE 2/13/19: EVENING WEAR AS A SYMBOL OF THE SPIRIT OF WOMENS' #LOVE

The first to be voted as an inspiration of love at NND. While in the meetings in which he mentored us, future Congolese leaders...I personally felt a rare healing energy from Dr. Mukwege.

In East Congo, the Congolese are being aggressed by the surrounding countries supported by Western countries, for the natural resources such as the coltan used for cell phones. These countries are using rape as a weapon of war. Congolese womens' insides are being torn apart at times with foreign objects...this is a silent genocide.

Dr. Mukwege sews these women back up together physically...because he is a man he is also sewing them back up emotionally and spiritually. When he was forced to flee in exile....women were selling pineapples to bring back to Congo.

In response to our new leader's comments about women, Fashion Week NND is a week long dress code for gender violence awareness (NND GVA Dress Code) highlighting her following fruits of the spirit: Enlightment, peace, joy, love, acceptance, willingness, neutrality and courage.
